A Letter from Mea Scott, ARNP

May 30, 2024

Dear patients of PFMC,

I hope this letter finds you well. It is with mixed emotions and a heavy heart that I write to inform you that I will be transitioning out of my role at PFMC, effective June 26th, 2024. I am thankful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me as your healthcare provider and it pains me to part ways.

Due to a family move, I will be relocating to Lynden, WA in the coming months. This decision was not made lightly, as I have cherished the relationships built with each of you over the years.

If you have been granted an exemption from membership, this will unfortunately expire with my departure. You will have the option of joining the PFMC membership or establish with a new provider elsewhere. MultiCare Primary Care and Franciscan Primary Care both have clinics in Gig Harbor. I want to assure you that your medical care remains my top priority during this transition.

I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me as your healthcare provider and for allowing me to be a part of your journey. It has truly been an honor.

If you have any questions or concerns, or need assistance finding a new healthcare provider, please do not hesitate to contact me or the clinic. I am here to support you during this transition in any way I can.

Thank you for your understanding and support, I will miss each one of you!

Sincerely,

Mea Scott, ARNP

A Letter from Joan Halley, DO

February 28, 2024

Hello,

It is time. After 34 years of practice, it is time to retire. There are some whom I have had the opportunity to care for during all my 34 years, and some only a few months (and many more in between!). These have been years of joy, struggle, revelations, and relationships. I have been honored by the trust and confidence we have developed together. And, I am grateful for the privilege of caring for you and your families.

I will miss many aspects of practice, including patient care and the relationships built within the practice. Also, I will miss working with my great partners and staff of Peninsula Family Medical Center. PFMC is a family in many senses of the word.

As I leave PFMC, Dr. Jaime Payne will begin to work with us in March 2024. She arrives with several years of practice in King and Pierce counties. Also, Jeanette Fisher, ARNP, will continue to care for patients. As members at Peninsula Family Medical Center, I would encourage you to establish care with either Dr. Payne or Jeanette.

If you have been granted an exemption from membership, this will unfortunately expire with my retirement. You will have the option of joining the PFMC membership or establish with a new provider elsewhere. MultiCare Primary Care and Franciscan Primary Care both have clinics in Gig Harbor.

Both of my children graduate in May, and, my husband has already retired. I am excited to join him to start some new adventures. My last day will be in June 2024.

Again, thank you for the honor and privilege of providing care for you.

Blessings and good health to you all,

Joan Halley, DO
